Sculptra is an innovative injectable biostimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid, designed to deeply rejuvenate the skin and restore lost tissue volume.

The product does not mechanically fill in wrinkles; instead, it stimulates the skin’s own cells — fibroblasts— to boost the natural production of collagen and elastin. As a result, the skin becomes firmer and more elastic, and looks younger without altering facial expressions or features.

Sculptra acts in the deep layers of the dermis, triggering the process of bioreconstruction. The rejuvenating effects occur gradually and naturally and last for up to 2–2.5 years, making this procedure one of the longest-lasting in modern aesthetic medicine.

How Sculptra works

After injection, polylactic acid activates fibroblasts—the cells responsible for producing collagen, elastin, and extracellular matrix proteins.
Gradually, a new collagen framework forms in the skin, which firms the tissue, improves skin tone, and smooths the skin’s texture.

After a few weeks, the skin becomes firmer and more elastic, facial contours are lifted, and wrinkles become less noticeable.
The effect intensifies with each passing day and lasts for up to 2.5 years, providing a natural—rather than an “injection-like”—rejuvenation.
