    What is phototherapy?

Phototherapy is a form of physical therapy based on the therapeutic effects of light and specific color spectra. Light is capable of penetrating tissues and generating light energy within them. The main radiation spectra used are visible, infrared, and ultraviolet. This light energy generated in the tissues can alter ongoing biochemical processes. The effect is achieved using low-intensity laser or LED radiation from various parts of the optical spectrum.

In terms of its parameters, the device’s wavelength spectrum is similar to sunlight, but it does not produce ultraviolet radiation. This is precisely why the treatment occurs naturally through the activation of the human body’s restorative and regenerative mechanisms. Upon contact with the skin, the light penetrates into its deeper layers, exerting a stimulating effect on the cellular structure. This leads to the reflexive triggering of secondary physiological reactions throughout the entire body.

Unlike other methods of physiotherapy, phototherapy has no contraindications.
