Name ”APTOS“ consists of two parts – ‘a’ (negation) and ”ptosis,“ which translates from Latin as ”sagging.” The procedure using APTOS threads literally means “against omission.” Within 1–3 months after the procedure, new tissue with distinct contours forms at the site of minor connective tissue damage.
