    What is cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis is the most popular and effective non-surgical procedure for removing cellulite and fat. The procedure offers all the benefits of cold-based techniques and is completely safe. With cryolipolysis, fat cells are destroyed not at the moment they are exposed to cold, but over the course of 2–3 months following the procedure. As the number of fat cells in the hypodermis decreases, its thickness will decrease by 20 to 25%. Fat tissue is very sensitive to cold; other tissues are not affected by cryolipolysis. Fat tissue is destroyed as a result of cooling to –5 degrees. Lipolysis is achieved through the crystallization of fat cells.

    The Cryolipolysis Procedure

Before the procedure, a specialist assesses the size of the fat fold and, depending on the problem area, selects one of four applicators. A gel pad and the applicator are placed on the problem area. The applicator draws in the fat fold using vacuum suction and cools the subcutaneous fat. The entire session takes 1 hour; initially, the patient may experience some discomfort (tingling, pressure). During the procedure, the patient is free to go about their business (listen to music, read, work on a laptop).

Sensations During and After the Procedure

There is no pain or inflammation during the procedure. After the applicator is removed, the skin in the “gripped” area turns red and may turn blue, similar to the effect of “medical cupping.” The skin returns to normal within 20–30 minutes. The patient may experience numbness and mild chills, which subside within 30 minutes.

How often can it be done?

A single course consists of 3–4 sessions, spaced one month apart. Courses can be repeated no sooner than four months later.

Is it suitable for weight loss?

Yes, it is. It’s worth noting that cryolipolysis allows you to remove fat where it’s unwanted and preserve volume where it’s important. Weight will decrease as cells damaged by the cold are eliminated.

    Is cavitation better?

Cryolipolysis has no analogues in terms of either technology or the gentleness of its effect on the body. It is a breakthrough in aesthetic cosmetology.

    Is it dangerous?

There are some contraindications that must be taken into account. There are also mild side effects, such as bruising or redness of the skin at the treatment site. Otherwise, it is completely safe.

How long do the results last?

The results remain stable for at least a year. However, it has been observed that a healthy diet and sufficient physical activity make the results much more long-lasting.

How soon can I return to my normal routine?

You can resume your normal activities immediately after the procedure.

Do I need to avoid any activities after the procedure?

No. You’ll be able to return to your normal routine right away. Any numbness you may feel after the procedure is temporary and won’t interfere with your daily activities. Since the session lasts about an hour on average, many people come in during their lunch break or at a time they would normally spend at the gym.
