The mesothread thread lift procedure gets its name from the unique properties of the guide needle, which allows the cosmetic doctor to perform comprehensive 3D tissue modeling at various depths of the skin layers, as well as in all predefined directions, which significantly influences the final outcome of the procedure.
On average, the thread facelift procedure takes about half an hour and is completely safe for patients of all ages. During the 3D mesothread facelift, the doctor makes no incisions but inserts the thread using an ultra-fine needle. As a result, the puncture marks from the bio-reinforcement are virtually invisible and heal quickly.
The painlessness of the mesothread lift is achieved through the use of an anesthesia technique specially developed by our doctors, which accompanies this rejuvenation method. Thanks to this anesthesia technique, the doctor can almost completely avoid the use of infiltration anesthesia “along the thread,” which significantly reduces the need to inject additional medication under the patient’s skin and minimizes the risk of subsequent bruising or allergic reactions.
What problems do 3D Mesothreads solve?
With this technique, in just one session you can:
rejuvenate your face by 4–5 years,
eliminate wrinkles—both fine and deep,
reshape the position of your eyebrows, the corners of your mouth, the middle third of your face, and your neck.
3D Mesothreads are very thin but strong: they lift the skin and securely hold it in its new position. At the same time, they effectively eliminate both age-related wrinkles (which have formed over time) and structural wrinkles (which are a feature of the face’s anatomy). There will be no “showing through” of the threads, nor any signs of intervention, even in those with very thin skin.
In addition to facelifts, 3D Mesothreads can be used in any area where a quick and safe lift is needed. This could include the abdominal skin that has sagged after pregnancy or a strict diet, the neck and décolleté area, or the thighs.
How safe are 3D Mesothreads for your health? Contraindications, complications, and side effects
3D Mesothreads are made of polylactic acid and are fully biocompatible with the human body—therefore, allergic reactions are virtually nonexistent when using them, and even the slightest health risk is completely ruled out.
The procedure itself is quite comfortable, quick, and does not require strong pain medication or a long recovery period. After the threads are inserted, you may experience temporary discomfort, which subsides within 7–10 days.
As for other possible complications and side effects, the main “scare story”—the formation of capsular contracture around the threads (similar to what can occur in the breast around an implant)—has no basis in fact. This is confirmed not only by theory but also by practice: surgeons who have performed facelifts on patients who previously had mesothreads inserted and who had the opportunity to examine the situation from the inside report no signs of capsules whatsoever.
There is another issue: in people with very thin skin, even properly placed threads may show through slightly, especially in cold weather—just like hyaluronic acid fillers. The surgeon must warn patients about this in advance, and, unfortunately, it is advisable for such patients to decline the procedure.
Applications of 3D thread lifting with mesothreads
This procedure is successfully used to correct age-related changes on the face and body. The most common areas treated with 3D mesothreads are:
the chin,
asolabial folds,
the forehead,
the corners of the eyebrows;
the neck and décolleté area,
the buttocks,
the inner thighs,
the inner shoulders.
Thread lifting allows for an effective, comprehensive facelift of the entire face.
