Surrounding tissue is not damaged, as the laser light is absorbed only by the blood. This non-viable section of the vessel is subsequently reabsorbed without a trace.

Vein removal can be performed not only on the face or legs, but on any area of the body. Standard skin cleansing and disinfection are performed before the procedure. Laser treatment causes virtually no discomfort, so anesthesia is generally not required. However, if necessary, cosmetologists administer local anesthesia by applying a numbing cream to the treatment area beforehand.

The patient and doctor wear special goggles that protect their eyes from laser radiation. The power of each laser flash is measured by two independent sensors, and each subsequent flash is adjusted accordingly. Dual automatic control ensures the highest level of safety.

After treatment

Slight redness may occur after removal, but this will subside within 15-30 minutes. Small vessels disappear immediately, while larger ones will initially darken and gradually resolve over 2-3 weeks. After removal of larger vessels, peeling or small crusts may occur.

For two weeks after treatment, it is recommended to avoid taking medications that dilate blood vessels, visiting steam rooms, saunas, tanning beds, or exposure to direct sunlight.

Spider Vein Treatment Results

The rate at which spider veins and spider veins resolve varies from patient to patient. For some patients, they disappear on the day of the first treatment. For others, it may take 3-4 days.

Small spider veins and spider veins on the legs, as well as spotted rosacea on the nose or cheeks, disappear completely and permanently after the first few treatments with laser treatment. Large spider veins on the face and body initially lose their vibrant color and decrease in size. After a course of treatment, they completely disappear.

Thus, laser treatment of rosacea gives the following lasting results:

removal of spider veins on the legs and body,

removal of facial veins,

removal of telangiectasias of all shapes, types, and sizes.

The likelihood of recurrence of telangiectasias is reduced to zero.

Not recommended:

manual facial cleansing,

chemical peels (article – Peeling, section – Chemical Peeling), laser facial resurfacing (article – Laser Facial Resurfacing)

dermabrasion,

vacuum cleaning,

thermal masks,

washing with hot water.

Causes of rosacea (spider veins)

Development of rosacea

The reasons why small blood vessels begin to show through in places on the face, legs, and body are quite varied. Blood stagnation and loss of vascular elasticity are the direct causes. But fragile and brittle blood vessels are also a consequence. What causes this unpleasant phenomenon?

According to various estimates, the following may be the causes of telangiectasia:

excessive sun exposure of the skin,

frostbite,

liver disease,

venous outflow disorders,

blood clotting problems,

taking hormonal drugs and steroids,

smoking (has a detrimental effect on the circulatory system),

excessive physical activity,

overeating.

climatic factors (sudden temperature changes, severe frost and wind, constant exposure to direct sunlight),

excessively spicy and hot foods,

abuse of coffee and dark chocolate,

alcohol, which has a vasodilatory effect,

stress leading to increased blood pressure pressure.

Moreover, the main cause of spider veins here is genetic predisposition and weak blood vessels caused by hormonal changes.

Cuperose can also be triggered by conditions such as:

liver pathologies (including metabolic disorders),

stomach diseases (colitis, gastritis),

connective tissue weakness syndrome (CTSS),

chronic constipation,

dysbacteriosis,

increased vascular permeability caused by vitamin C deficiency;

hypertension,

allergies,

rosacea.

In men, chronic venous insufficiency is the most likely cause of rosacea. The appearance of spider veins on the legs is the first symptom of venous disease and can be triggered by venous congestion in the lower extremities.

Spider veins on the face and body of women often appear as a result of gynecological conditions and menopause. A third of women experience their first vascular changes during pregnancy or after an abortion. A link has also been established between the development of rosacea and the use of oral contraceptives.

Spider veins caused by pregnancy typically disappear without a trace within 3-6 weeks after delivery. However, if they persist on the face or body longer, it’s important to consult a specialist and have the rosacea removed.

What is the danger of rosacea?

The development of rosacea on the skin leads not only to constant redness, unwanted excessive flushing, and dry skin. Bleeding and skin infection are also possible. This is especially dangerous if spider veins appear on the face, as these lesions leave numerous scars.

Furthermore, rosacea leads to skin aging. It doesn’t receive the necessary amount of nutrients and oxygen, losing its healthy natural color, becoming pale and taking on a grayish tint.

Spider veins on the face (telangiectasias) can also cause psychological problems, especially in women. Women suffering from rosacea often experience prolonged depression. Therefore, like any other condition, rosacea requires treatment. And treatment for telangiectasias should begin early.

The aesthetic effect of laser removal of veins and spider veins is visible immediately after the procedure.

The number of treatments required for complete removal depends on the extent of the lesion and the size of the veins and spider veins:

Small vessels and capillaries disappear after the first procedure.

To remove deeper vessels, 3-5 procedures will be required with an interval of 2-3 weeks.

Under the influence of the laser light, the blood inside the vessel heats and coagulates, “welding” it to the vessel wall.
