    What is it?

Contouring is an injection-based technique for reducing wrinkles and correcting facial contours, which involves filling the subcutaneous space with special substances (fillers).

This often includes wrinkle smoothing using Botox injections; however, most medical professionals tend to classify this type of procedure as a separate branch of cosmetology.

The pronounced rejuvenating effect and the ability to make significant changes to facial features using fillers allow us to consider contouring as a worthy alternative to plastic surgery.

Other clear advantages of the procedure include its speed and simplicity, the absence of the need for general or even local anesthesia, the lack of a recovery period, and its relatively low cost.

The main component of most products used in contouring is hyaluronic acid—a natural component of our skin—which guarantees the absence of allergic reactions and other side effects.

    How is contouring performed?

Despite the procedure’s overall safety, only a qualified specialist can correctly select the product, determine the necessary dosage, and identify the injection sites.

Contouring is performed on an outpatient basis in a single session (unlike, for example, mesotherapy, which typically involves a course of 4–10 or more sessions). An anesthetic cream is applied to the pre-cleansed skin, after which the doctor proceeds directly to administering the injections. This process takes 15 to 30–40 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

An important feature of contouring is the absence of a recovery period. There are only minor restrictions that should be observed during the first 1–2 weeks to achieve maximum results (limit physical contact with the treated area; avoid saunas, swimming pools, and tanning beds).

The results of the injections will be noticeable almost immediately. An initial assessment of the changes can be made after just 1–2 days, and a final assessment after about a week. Depending on the type of product used, the results last from 4–6 months to several years.

    Contouring of Nasolabial Folds

The “creases” running from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth significantly mar facial expression and make you look older. They are usually very deep. Sometimes, simply shortening the nasolabial folds is enough to make your face look noticeably younger.

The nasolabial fold correction procedure lasts about thirty minutes. It is painless (microneedles are used) and leaves no swelling or bruising. The effect is noticeable immediately after the procedure.

For one week, patients are advised to avoid facial massages. They should also avoid sudden temperature changes and direct sunlight. After this period, the final results will be visible and will last up to a year.

Nasolabial fold correction is often combined with lip augmentation.

    Lip Contouring

This is a simple and safe procedure for lip augmentation. Subcutaneous injections (hyaluronic acid gel) help give thin lips the desired volume.

For effective lip augmentation, it is important to use a high-quality product and administer it correctly. This prevents the gel from migrating across the face and avoids the formation of lumps. Leading specialists at the Klazko Clinic use safe, latest-generation fillers.

The procedure is performed without anesthesia. It takes 10–30 minutes. The results are visible immediately and last for eight to ten months. After that, the filler dissolves and is safely eliminated from the body. The procedure can be repeated without waiting for the effects to wear off.

    Eye Contouring

Beautiful, smooth skin around the eyes is a sign of youthful skin and good skin tone. Unfortunately, the thin and delicate skin around the eyes is the first to show signs of aging and sagging. This issue can be easily corrected with cosmetic procedures.

Indications for eye contouring include “crow’s feet” (wrinkles on the outer corners of the eyes) and tear troughs. Depending on the depth of the wrinkles, fillers of varying densities will be used.

For three days prior to the eye contour procedure, you must not take any medications containing aspirin or alcohol. You should also avoid direct sunlight.

The procedure itself lasts about one hour. It is usually performed without anesthesia.

After the session, slight redness may remain on the skin for several hours. For three days, you should not visit baths, saunas, or tanning beds, and you must avoid physical exertion.

Eye contouring is performed once or twice a year, as the injected gel dissolves over time.

    Cheek Contouring

Not everyone is naturally blessed with a beautiful facial contour. But even natural beauty begins to fade over time. The skin on the cheeks sags, and drooping nasolabial folds appear. All of this gives the face a tired, unhappy look.

There are two ways to reshape the face: through plastic surgery of the lower third of the face, or without surgery, opting for cheek contouring.

This cosmetic method involves injecting gel fillers containing natural components of our body—collagen and hyaluronic acid—into the middle and deep layers of the dermis. The second component helps retain moisture in the dermis and stimulates the skin’s natural regeneration processes. When these fillers are injected, the skin regains its freshness and appears youthful.

The procedure is performed annually or every two years, depending on the initial condition and firmness of the skin. The price for cheek contouring starts at 30,000 rubles; the cost depends on the amount of product (fillers) required and varies significantly. You can find out the exact price during a consultation with our specialists.
