Our skin is considerably changing with aging. Fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation spots and flake veins. The skin is loosen and loses its elasticity. These changes are increasing in cases of the regular influence over the skin by the ultra-violate rays of the sun spectrum – photo-injured skin.
The photorejuvenation technique is based on exposing the skin to intense pulsed light. The thermal energy of the beam stimulates the synthesis of new elastin and collagen fibers, as well as improves peripheral blood circulation, metabolism, and tissue trophism. As a result of the procedure, skin lifting and rejuvenation, wrinkle smoothing, and pore tightening are observed.
Intense pulsed light is also widely used to remove vascular lesions (spider veins, rosacea) and pigmented spots. Pigmented substances—chromophores (hemoglobin in capillaries and melanin in pigmented spots)—absorb the energy, heating up and breaking down. Vascular lesions disappear due to hemoglobin coagulation, while pigmented spots lighten as a result of melanin destruction.
How facial photorejuvenation works
To put your mind at ease, all you need to do is learn how a photorejuvenation session works and what lies at the heart of this unique method. The process is based on the action of a special cosmetic device that generates a light beam of a specific frequency. To achieve a particular effect, the specialist determines the wavelength of the light.
Before the session, a gel is applied to the treatment area to protect the skin from overheating.
Goggles are worn to prevent corneal burns.
The device’s LED filters direct the generated light to a special tip, which directs it onto the treated area of the face.
During the photorejuvenation procedure, the patient will feel only a slight tingling sensation and warmth.
At the end of the session, a special cream is applied to the skin to provide therapeutic and protective benefits.
Results will be visible after the first procedure, but to consolidate and enhance the effect, it is recommended to complete the full course: facial photorejuvenation involves 4–6 sessions at two-week intervals. At the same time, there is no pain, the skin remains unharmed and scar-free, and no injections are required. A slight, virtually imperceptible redness of the skin allows you to resume your normal activities almost immediately after the session. Moreover, photorejuvenation permits the use of makeup immediately after the procedure.
Benefits:
Smother, more even-toned skin
Refined facial contour
Improved firmness
Increased elasticity
Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
How does skin rejuvenation with elos™ SRA Applicator technology work?
The SR/SRA uses focused light and bi-polar radio frequency energies to restore skin to a more youthful state. Brown spots (pigmented imperfections) from sun damage and aging, red blotchiness from spider vessels or rosacea (vascular imperfections), and uneven skin texture will improve over a treatment series.
What results can one expect from the SRA Applicator treatment?
Each SRA treatment will result in gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented and vascular imperfections. Textural improvements are appreciated towards the end of the treatment series.
How frequently does one need SRA treatments?
Treatments are repeated every month for usually a total of 5 treatments.
What happens after each SRA treatment?
Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time, and most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. The improvement in pigmented and vascular irregularities can often be appreciated by the time you return for your next treatment a month later. Brown spots temporarily go darker before they lighten.
What is the average number of treatments for the SRA?
Photodamaged skin, erythema from Rosacea, Telangiectasias and pigmented lesions typically require 4- 5 treatment sessions. Some resistant vascular and pigmented lesions may require more than 5 sessions to achieve fading or improvement. Fine lines, pore size and superficial depressed scarring may also show noticeable softening after 4- 5 treatment sessions.
Is treatment with the SRA Applicator safe?
Treatment is very safe for the skin. There are many advances in the SRA technology that make it unparalleled for skin safety, without compromising effectiveness for treatment. There are no long term health hazards from light or electric energies used in the SRA. Both have been used for decades in medicine, surgery, and aesthetics without adversity.
How is the SRA Applicator treatment tolerated by the patient?
The sensation is often described as “hot pinch” feeling. The sensation only lasts for fraction of a second, and you may feel warmth or tingling sensation for a short time afterward. Most people tolerate treatment without topical anesthetic, but individuals who are more sensitive may prefer to have the skin numbed before treatment.
Who should get SRA Applicator treatment for Skin Rejuvenation?
Anyone who wants to improve the signs of sun damage and aging in the skin, such as pigmented and vascular irregularities, uneven or rough skin texture. Skin rejuvenation can be done on face, neck, chest, hands, and arms.
How safe is skin rejuvenation at different ages?
Age is not a factor when it comes to non-invasive procedures, as they are safe and reliable.
How many photorejuvenation or non-surgical facelift procedures are required?
Although the results of photorejuvenation and lifting are noticeable after the first procedure, a minimum of 3 sessions is recommended to achieve significant and lasting changes.
How long does a photorejuvenation or non-surgical skin tightening procedure take?
Approximately 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the technology used.
What is the advantage of combining different cosmetic technologies?
Using different technologies allows for deep yet safe penetration into various layers of the skin. As a result, skin rejuvenation occurs—including even skin tone, new collagen formation, tightening, and the reduction of scars and marks. Additionally, immediate, long-lasting results are achieved in just a few sessions.
Is the procedure painful?
You may experience a slight tingling sensation, but no pain.
